Ad Agency redpepper Dedicates 24 Hours of Non-Stop Service to Give Back to the Community
redpepper donates more than $150,000 worth of services to help local non-profits through annual CreateAthon event and invites Middle Tennessee to help by enjoying lunch at "Taste of CreateAthon" event on Friday, September 16, 2011
ATLANTA, GA, September 15, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- As many organizations have participated in community service projects commemorating the National Day of Service and Remembrance, the Nashville-based advertising agency redpepper is preparing to give back to the community by providing free marketing services to three Middle Tennessee non-profit organizations.
On September 15 and 16, redpepper's office will be closed while the entire staff works more than 24 hours around the clock - from 8:30 a.m. on Thursday, September 15 until 1:00 pm on Friday, September 16 - to provide free marketing services to three non-profits as part of their fifth annual CreateAthon event. CreateAthon is an annual, national event during which advertising agencies volunteer their time and talents by working for 24 hours (or more) to provide much-needed marketing services to non-profit organizations in their communities.
During CreateAthon 2011, redpepper will focus on creating marketing materials that help the following non-profit organizations share their stories with our community:
•Operation Homefront - Based at Fort Campbell, Operation Homefront is a non-profit that provides emergency assistance to wounded warriors and the families of deployed enlisted service members in the military, reserves or National Guard in Tennessee and Kentucky.
•Williamson County CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) - Williamson County CASA currently has 46 extensively trained, active volunteers/advocates who assist children who have been removed from their parent/guardian due to abuse or neglect.
•Gabe's My Heart - When Gabe was undergoing treatment for cancer, his mom made him the first ChemoDuck right before his first birthday. The ChemoDuck went to all of Gabe's doctor's appointments with him, and was used to help educate him about the treatments he was receiving, making them less scary. Thankful that Gabe is now cancer-free, Gabe's mom started this non-profit to provide ChemoDucks for children undergoing cancer treatment.
redpepper is inviting the Middle Tennessee community to participate in CreateAthon event this year by joining the sleep-deprived team for lunch and a "Taste of CreateAthon" on Friday, September 16. From 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., at redpepper's offices, visitors can meet representatives from each non-profit and view the creative materials produced during CreateAthon while enjoying a tasty lunch. A $10 donation is requested to benefit redpepper's Land of Cause Fund, which helps CreateAthon clients with funds to further their marketing efforts.
"CreateAthon is an effective way to help bridge the gap between the increased needs of non-profits and the decrease in monetary donations. It is rewarding to be able to give back to our community by creating marketing materials to support the work of these non-profit organizations," said Tim McMullen, president of redpepper. "The cash value of the services we provide is estimated at more than $150,000, and many of the non-profits would not have been able to otherwise afford these materials that aid them in carrying out their missions in the community."
