As a global director of shoe and foot care category management at Sara Lee, Mr. Townsend is responisble for managing the company's global brand, working with the top 15 global companies to grow his company's brand, training area sales directors and category managers, and conducting analysis and putting together programs to deliver real consumer and customer value while maximizing opportunities. To fulfill his need to give back and engage with young professionals, Don teaches Strategic Marketing in the MBA program at the Haub School of Business at St. Joseph University in Philadelphia and supports his wife, Alicia, as a health & wellness coach with Herbalife International (websites: www.amtweightlossmall.net and www.keystoahealthylifestyle.com). He attributes his success to his ability to understand customer needs and applying his programs to their needs while negotiating performance. Mr. Townsend received his MBA from Fordham University in May, 1989 and his Bachelor's Degree in Food Marketing from the University of Delaware in June, 1982. Don has always wanted more customization of products to consumers needs. Don has been the enabler that reorganizes businesses to put cultivating relationships ahead of building brands; driving the shift from pushing individual products to building long-term customer relationships (CRM). Now Don teaches these concepts not only at St. Joseph University but to all his wife's team of Herbalife distributors.
