Debbie Whiteley, Former Pharmacy Tech, Found Second Career Selling Medical Equipment


HUNTSVILLE, AR, June 24, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Debbie Whiteley, General Manager of Dura-Med Home Care, LLC, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in all aspects of medical equipment sales.

With eight years of professional experience, Mrs. Whiteley specializes in the sale of oxygen equipment. In 2006, she assumed her current position at Dura-Med, a medical equipment company that deals in diabetic shoes, wheelchairs, walkers, hospital beds, lift chairs, and knee braces. Her responsibilities include dealing with clients and training them in the use of medical equipment, preparing paperwork and accounting, overseeing the delivery of products, and fitting diabetic and orthopedic shoes. Mrs. Whiteley began her career in the healthcare field as a pharmacy technician with Economy Drugs; when the pharmacist with whom she worked ventured into medical equipment in 2000, she eventually joined him. She attributes her own successful transition to her ability to work with others and commitment to improve everyday living for people who are sick.

Mrs. Whiteley is a Licensed Pedorthist through the Arkansas Department of Health and a Board Certified Fitter. Additionally, she completed coursework in business administration at Twin-Lakes Vo-Tech School. In five years, Mrs. Whiteley aspires to expand the range of products offered at Dura-Med Home Care.
